Michael Rapaport Rosemont Concert reviews
Deeply Disappointing
I and my wife were really excited to see Michael Rapaport. As everyone knows, our tickets were expensive, $400 each. Great seats, but his performance was, to put it bluntly, BORING!!!!! There was NO audience interaction, no chemistry whatsoever. He would sing two songs, get walked off the stage, another singer would come on without an introduction, sing a song, then he would be walked back on and sing another two songs. Then there was a twenty-minute break. That's how the night went. Let's talk about his song selection. I paid to hear Michael Rapaport sing the magical, beautiful Italian songs he's known for. The first half of the show, he sang opera. BORING. If I wanted to hear opera, I would have gone to the Civic Opera House in Chicago. Again, no chemistry. He returned after the break and promoted his latest CD, movie songs. Again, it was like a fish out of water. Yes, he is gifted with a powerful, beautiful voice. However, when I pay over $800 plus parking, plus the hassle of getting there and getting home, I expect to be entertained. My wife and I were really looking forward to seeing Michael Rapaport.
